Parating na sa MIBF!!! And I just want to add one more thing to be excited about: the second edition of my techno-mythical novel, Clickbalang!

Since may mga nag call out about the first cover (altho the choice is intentional to use Ai for the cover to fit the irony of the story), I tend to listen to the readers and that's why, we will release it with a brand new non-Ai cover!

Salamat sa artist na gumawa nito para suportahan ako, Gib Son. Sobrang na appreciate ko yung support ng mga artist sa paligid ko dahil iisa ang pagmamahal natin sa sarili nating literatura.

Done rewatching the trailer 10 times today, and let me just share what I really love about the movie months before its release.

1. The colors. It is not afraid to be as colorful as it can get. It even uses the colors of the book cover during the parade, and that’s a welcome for us book fans.

2. The posters. Done with the floating head. You know how we hate book covers having a movie cover instead? The opposite is what we love when movie posters try to imitate becoming a book cover—not focusing on the stars (even though, btw, the casting director shows us the budget for this film by getting the biggest possible fan favorites), but rather the feel of the story. It gives mystery, and basically the setting of the whole thing.

3. The TikTok edits. That’s it. That’s the final item that I love. If you haven’t seen one, even Lionsgate’s official account is making them.
